About

I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) with a background that spans the arts and psychology. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, studied at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and spent nearly a decade living and working in Paris and London before returning home. For several years I worked in forensic mitigation on capital cases — an experience that deepened my interest in how people survive, adapt, and make meaning in the face of hardship.

I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and trained at The Maple Counseling Center, where I worked with adults and co-facilitated psychodynamic process groups. I currently see children, teens, and families at Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services, and also work in private practice as an associate therapist with Celine M. Paganini Psychotherapy, Inc.

My approach is grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy and informed by object relations, sensorimotor awareness, attachment theory, and affective neuroscience. I often work with people grappling with identity, destructive habits, or the feeling of being stuck in painful emotional loops — including repetitive, self-defeating patterns in their relationships. I believe in the healing potential of presence, curiosity, and the therapeutic relationship itself.

Kevin Lasting is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #150173) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC #17873), practicing under the supervision of Celine Paganini, LMFT #123470.
